Online Therapy · Immigrants & Expats

Being far from home doesn't have to mean being alone.

Therapy for people who left everything behind and carry the weight of that distance. A place to speak about longing, exhaustion, and beginning again — in your own time, in your own language.

Does any of this feel familiar?

Building a life in another country often means living several lives at once — and carrying all of them on your shoulders.

Longing

Celebrations, smells, sounds, and people that keep drifting further away — and no one around who really understands what's missing.

Exhaustion

Living in another language and translating your own thoughts all day long. Some days you just want to think in Portuguese again.

Culture shock

Everything at once: new, strange, fascinating, and frightening. You adjust — and still sense that something got lost along the way.

Isolation

Surrounded by people, and yet no one who truly sees you. The particular loneliness of feeling foreign, even to yourself.

About me

About me & intercultural psychology

I'm a clinical psychologist and I work with young adults and adults living through the experience of being an immigrant or expat. My practice is grounded in careful listening and respect for the singularity of each story.

Intercultural psychology understands that living in another country involves much more than adapting to a new language — it means rebuilding identities, grieving what was left behind, and finding meaning in a new context. Therapy can be a companion for that crossing.
